A simpler, AI-native platform for heavy-duty repair shops
Fullbay Next is an AI-native rebuild of a leading heavy-duty repair platform. Iโm designing how shops get paid and how their data comes in and gets put to work.
Product Background
Fullbay is a shop management platform built for heavy-duty truck and trailer repair, covering everything from service intake and parts inventory to technician time tracking, customer approvals, and invoicing.
โข 5,000+ Heavy Duty Shops
โข 26,000+ Users
โข 43M Repair Orders
โข $6.5B in Invoiced Repair Order Work
In 2026, the company unveiled Fullbay Next at Diesel Connect: a ground-up AI-native rebuild designed to move the platform from a system of record to a system of action.
My Role
Leading design for Financials (invoice and payment workflows) and Data Platform (data migration, onboarding, curated repair recommendations based on the type of unit being worked on).
Research & Design Process
I work with our UX researcher on field visits to customer shops, run usability tests for discovery and validation, present at Customer Advisory Board meetings, demo work-in-progress to shop owners and operators, and gather ongoing signals from internal customer facing stakeholders (Customer Success, Sales, Support).
For design, I helped the team adopt an AI-centered process: designing in Claude Code with real design system components, pushed to GitHub for developers to reference directly. Real code prototypes speed up validation and reduce handoff friction.
